13 year old girls the day MJ died: Rest In Peace one of the most talented men to ever grace the music industry. You touched so many hearts and will be missed forever
Oh shut up. Why can't people get over the fact that he gained new fans when he died? People who were never exposed to his music discovered it for the first time in the days and weeks following his death. Do you honestly think that Michael would care any less about new fans? Everyone was a "new" fan once and I'm sure if you're a fan of Michael since before June 2009 you think Michael loved you as a fan so WHY are people who weren't fans until after he died expected to feel any differently. If a child is born tomorrow and becomes a fan in four years are people going to complain? No. This is the exact same. If Michael didn't gain new fans after his death his music would die when the last of him "old" fans died. I think if you're a true fan you want his legacy to be his music - and you want it to live forever. That cannot happen without new fans. So, if you were a fan before June 2009 or you became a fan afterwards, good for you. You're a Michael Jackson fan. That's it, and to all the people who think that these fans are "fake" or just listening to him because he became "cool" again, it's two and a half years later and these people are still here, listening to Michael, watching Michael, reading about Michael, talking about Michael, so they're real fans, just like you. Get over it.
